Guatemala Mission Trip schedule

Our hardy group of 19 departs Saturday morning at 7:00 a.m. We arrive in Guatemala City just after 1:00 p.m. MDT (a two-hour time difference). We return Sunday, July 8, about Midnight. The tentative schedule for the week:

Saturday: travel to Rio Dulce for dinner and orientation.

Sunday: travel to El Estor (Hotel Mari Isabel) for worship and lunch at Noah's Ark Church; leadership training session for pastors and activities with children; dinner and debriefing at the hotel.

Monday: devotions and breakfast; a work project (roofs and floors for individual homes); dinner and debriefing at the hotel.

Tuesday: devotions and breakfast; continuation of work project; leadership training for elders and deacons (morning); leadership training for youth (afternoon); dinner and debriefing at the hotel.

Wednesday: devotions and breakfast; leadership training for women; worship, lunch and goodbyes; visit to Bocaron nature park; dinner and debriefing at the hotel.

Thursday: devotions and breakfast; visit to Refugio Bocas del Polochic (wildlife preserve); travel to Rio Dulce (Hotel Bruno); dinner in Rio Dulce and debriefing.

Friday: devotions and breakfast; visit Ruinas de Quirigua (Mayan ruins); travel to Antigua (hotel Carmen); sightseeing in Antigua; dinner and debriefing.

Saturday: breakfast; visit to Volcan Pacaya (volcano hike) or guided historical tour of Antigua; free afternoon; dinner and debriefing.

Sunday: breakfast; worship in Antigua; depart for airport (flight leaves at 3:05 p.m.
